The Dallas County Buffalo Soldiers (Lancaster Chapter) proudly carries forward a legacy of service, leadership, and community engagement under the direction of Mr. Paul Allen. A U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam, Mr. Allen has spent his life in service to others, including his years as a Dallas Police Officer and nearly four decades working with Dallas Juvenile Detention to help troubled youth build better futures. His commitment to mentorship, discipline, and opportunity continues to shape the mission and spirit of the chapter.
Mr. Allen is also deeply passionate about horses and has shared that passion through horsemanship training and related community activities. His love of history, service, and hands-on teaching reflects the values that define the Buffalo Soldiers tradition: courage, skill, perseverance, and dedication to others.

We honor the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers by preserving African American military history, promoting education, and inspiring service in our communities. Through outreach, presentations, and public engagement, we aim to connect the past with the present in meaningful and memorable ways.
In addition to our own chapter activities, we are proud to highlight past events and collaborations with our sister organization, Bravo Zulu Homefront Alliance, a nonprofit Veterans Services Organization. These shared efforts showcase a strong commitment to veterans, families, youth, and community education. Including event photos here helps tell the story of our service in action and gives visitors a visual connection to the impact of our work.
